Career Goals:
In my career, I would like to combine my love of all things data with my interest and background in health-related topics. My goal is to obtain a position such as healthcare data scientist. My goal is to find an opportunity to employ innovations that would allow healthcare providers to utilize outputs from my data analysis to make informed health decisions, predict healthcare outcomes, improve biomedical research, or help to find business solutions related to healthcare information systems.
Background:
My undergraduate degree is in Microbiology. I currently work as a Project Manager for a Clinical Research Organization.
Why UNC?:
I chose UNC because I felt that this program would prepare me to effectively utilize the data analytics tools necessary to achieve my career goals. The skills and knowledge I obtain as part of the UNC BMHI graduate program will give me the opportunity to influence healthcare through data analysis.
